Dead laptop = less blogging

My laptop died last week. Then I brought it back to life with a few hundred restarts, safe modes, disk checking, and more restarts. I got it just enough to get a few things off the hard drive. I had just recently backed everything up before I thought there was a problem, so I was good. I've had to actually get up and use the REAL computer or my phone for internet access. My poor little BlackBerry just isn't used to working that hard. We just got the laptop back up today but now it doesn't want to connect to our weirdo hidden network. That will be a job for Shaun to do sometime soon...hopefully I will be back on my laptop tomorrow! I'm so excited.

So, right now Allison is fighting a nap, well, I think the nap is winning right now. It is only because of the hair dryer, but I'll take it! She is a night time sleeping champ usually, so I try to not get too annoyed about day time napping. I should be knocking on wood about my night time sleeping comment, though. She woke up after sleeping for 3 hours last night! She had taken a rather large poo and I guess it bothered her. Combined with some pretty decent gas I guess she did not want to sleep. Luckily Shaun took that one and let me sleep for the hour she fought him to go back to bed!!

Allison has started to smile more at me. She is making a bit more noise - I think I will wish she would just shut up in 15 years - but for now I love when she talks to me. She is starting to slowly grab onto some toys - Sophie the giraffe and her keys in the bath tub. Tummy time is getting a little easier, she still does not like it, but it isn't screaming the instant she's down. She is officially out of size "newborn"! Woohoo...she's in the 0-3 or 3 month sizes now.

2 months already

Allison is 2 months old!! She had her 2 month checkup today and got her not so fun shots. She was born at 7 pounds 1 oz (down to 6 pounds 6 ounces at 4 days check up) and is now 9 pounds 8 ounces! She's about 50th percentile and doing great the doctor said. Her shots went well...only a little bit of crying from both of us. ;-)

Two days in a row!

Wow, I'm doing a blog update 2 days in a row. Amazing. =)

Allison is on her SECOND nap of the day! 3 hours each! I'm so excited. The laundry got done and put away, I got a good nap in earlier with her first nap, I took a shower, did my nails, tidied up the house a bit, and got to eat!

I have a couple pictures to share....Allison met her first baby girlfriend (Sylvie) when Brook and Pete were visiting from Atlanta for the Disney Marathon a couple weeks ago.

And here is Allison's future boyfriend, Caden. (Maybe....) I think Caden liked her...he tried to pat her on the head and Allison didn't like it. Caden is my best friend's son and he will be 1 in February.

This picture is Allison sleeping in her Pack N Play at the hotel we stayed at last weekend for our friends' wedding. She slept more than 9 1/2 hours this night and we woke up to find her like this...still just snoozing away. I think we actually had to wake her up because we had to check out of the room!

Here is a picture special for my mom (Mama as she is called in my house since Gianna calls her that already). She made this hat special for Allison and it fits perfectly now....but see the next picture...
Allison didn't like it too much! She actually just doesn't like hats in general, but her head needs to stay toasty!

Trying to get better at updates

I promise I'm trying to get better at updating my blog. =) The last few weeks things around here have been getting much MUCH better. Allison is sleeping more, I'm sleeping more, and Daddy is sleeping more. I think we all feel better!!

Allison will be 2 months old on Thursday and I will be 31 years old on Friday!!! Agh!
She has her 2 month check up on Monday and she will get her vaccinations/shots. I'm not looking forward to that appointment.
